I remember one year we busted our backs going across LOW from Long Pt to garden island on snowmobiles. About 3/4 we stopped to take a break and we looked over and there was a Buick LeSabre driving on a plowed road about a quarter mile from us right to Garden Island.

Who do you figure was the smart one?

I agree and I am a part of that demographic. I will take an ATV or Snowmobile, but if someone can just drive a vehicle to these normally inaccessible spots it really doesnt give the fish a break from pressure.

I think the last 2 winters have given the fish enough of a break. Too much snow and then a very short winter.

Our backs figured that one out pretty dang quick. We looked at each other and were like where the F did they come from?!!!

The storm that will be going through to the south this weekend is massive. Northern Missouri is projected to get 12-14 inches of snow. In southern Missouri, they are expecting up to 1/2 inch of ice accumulation. The system will stretch from Kansas all the way east into Ohio. Behind it, most of eastern portion of the country will be engulfed in arctic air.

The radio also said that most of MN and WI are somewhere between 7-12 inches behind on snow so far this season. Duluth/Superior is a whopping 22 inches behind average thus far.

Good for the wildlife so far I guess.

Temps will moderate as the week goes on here and will eventually rise above average a little. A minor northwest clipper system “might” drop a coating to an inch of snow on Sunday. That’s the only snow in the 10 day forecast.

Much of the south and east is going to get the colder air we’ve just had, as it continues to drift further south.

Yeah it was nice having the sun, but the clouds overnight kept us warm like a blanket so that is nice as well.

Updated clipper system coming in Sat/Sun could drop up to 2-4 inches of snow in some areas of Central MN.

I know it aint much but for snow lovers out there its better than a completely brown landscape.

Some areas in East Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas received over a foot of snow. That’s more than we’ve had here all winter. shock
