I got my wish of 1″ of snow just south of Duluth mrgreen

A lot less than the forecast called for.

I mentioned earlier that the kids had a 2 hour delay this morning, the first flakes didn’t start falling until 9 am rotflol

Snowing pretty good in Duluth and Two Harbors right now. A couple or more on the ground.

I am not far from B-man and I would guess we got 2 to 3″ at the most. More came during the dark hours then what we got all day. Now we need to make more ice !

Well the snow persisted the entire day and into the night. Probably ended up with 4 or 5 inches in total. In the range of where they said it would be but low end for sure. Now I need Grouse to figure out my snowblower LOL I dont like how it runs, but only used it once last year. Kept forgetting to bring it in. Grr. Procrastination got the best of me. Its not a gas situation its like the governor or something engine revs up and down when not under a load.

That’s how snowblowers all are I thought? They’re tuned rich, which makes it surge, so that they have enough power when you hit thick snow. I have two troy-bilt, with different engines, and they both have done it since new. Once it’s under load they run smooth.

Reef you are probably right and that is what I thought too its just really damn annoying! I had to blow in 5th gear yesterday to get rid of it. I just dont want to damage the engine. This has done it since new as well so I figured it was normal.

My snow blowers including a Cub Cadet and Troy Built will only do that if the choke is adjusted wrong. Im certain they should always run smoothly.

I haven’t been out yet but it looks like yet another 2.5 to 3″ since I blew it out yesterday.

I have a Cub Cadet 2 stage and it also surges as explained above, I have to go back & forth between 1/4 choke and no choke, depending on the load.

Waited till I got home to clean it up. My guess was 4-5” of course it snowed another 1/2 or so after I finished. Good news is my snowblower fired right up and worked great. I hope it’s the last time I need to use it this year
