I have over an inch. Haven’t emptied it but a guy a couple miles from me in sartell said he had over 4. I think he’s got a funnel on his gauge lol

3.1 inches here. Most I’ve received in one event all year.

I can’t believe the weather this August so far! It is probably my least favorite month next to March but I might have to take my boat out of summer storage this weekend with the forecast?

I hope this is either a sign of an extended Indian summer or a normal hardwater season? What a treat either way!

I took advantage of the cooler morning and burned all the sticks and twigs that have accumulated over a year. Had quite a pile between the neighbor and us. Got the cover on the portable fire pit already and letting the cinders burn themselves out now. Nice breeze too to fan the cinder bed. It wouldn’t take a hot dog long to brown up over the cinders.

I’m hoping this doesn’t mean we pay for it in November with a 70 deg deer opener. Can’t stand those years. Last time, I had to go buy an orange construction worker shirt with reflector tape on it at Fleet Farm because I couldn’t find an XL blaze orange t-shirt anywhere.

I remember that year, I did the same I think I bought FF out of XXL blaze orange t shirts with a pocket for some of the guys.

We will average back towards normal temps next week. Enjoy the cool nights and mornings for a couple days though with a stiff NW breeze.

No more nasty humidity or heatwaves in sight, for now.

Went out to check the rain gauge this morning around 5:15, and found it smashed to pieces and the stand bent to hell. It turns out that the wife “didn’t see it” when mowing the longer field grass trail with the compact tractor.

She said “Well how was I supposed to know you just put that there?!?.” She then shrugged when I told her it was there since sometime in the Fall of 2022.

I had 9/10s in the digital this morning from rain during the night. The garden needed it big time.

This has been one of the better summers I can ever remember here, weather wise. A massive improvement from recent years for sure.

Very few stinking hot/humid days, minimal smokey skies, and consistent rain.

I honestly thought we were in for the hottest, driest, smoke filled summer on record coming out of that fake winter we had. Lake and river levels were alarmingly low.

I would welcome more like these any summer in the future. peace

I got 1/76ths of an inch less than my neighbor. Y’all sounding like the old men randy Travis mentions in “forever and ever, amen” lol

Either you got a lot of rain, a little, or something in-between… rotflol

We’ve only had 6 days that have reached 90+ degrees here this summer so far. The average is 13 by the end of August.

Last year we had 20 of them before August and finished with 33.

I think we’ll add a couple more on Sun/Mon and finish with 8 of them this summer.

Texas can keep their scalding hot Mars-like temperatures under the stalled heat dome.

An average winter would be alright.
