14 full bottles and one short in the fridge to go with tonight’s din-din.

This from our Frontenac Grapes. Its a fairly sweet, deep rose. Got just a bite of bite but very smooth actually. Great color in it this year….great year for the grapes.

This will be the Christmas quaff….if there’s any that makes it that far.

Let me get thru this deer hunting stuff, then we’ll have a bash. lol Hey….I could take a jug a day deer hunting as a supplement to my Gatorade.

Not bad batch at all. Now I’m wondering if any will be around for Thanksgiving even.

I do see mine are labeled January 2016. Don’t know if that makes them better or not.

I think we need to do an IDO home-made wine get-together and invite Sharon as the judge. Get her silly. Maybe dance? BK’d make a great dance partner for her after he’s had a couple Hamm’s and a glass or two of something home-spun and better.

oh huh !!! I have to tasted wine !!
once I ran out of jack and the store was sold out so I bought a bottle of merlot as I was still thirsty,( the truth is I wasnt drunk enough yet, long story).
brrrrrrr, dont want to experience that hangover again, ever, blah !!
so now I put two drops of merlot in my bottle of jack, goes further that way.

    quick recipe for cooking only,
quart of water, half bottle of merlot that has at least a three berry blend,ie,raspberry, strawberry, and cherry.
in a stock pot, combine this with chopped celery, chopped onion, chopped green onion, bay leaf, chopped garlic, salt, pepper,a sprig of thyme and rosemary.

simmer until mixture is reduced by half and pour into a crock pot,add your favorite cut of beef roast.
when the beef is about half way cooked, add potatoes and carrots, slow cook until taters and carrots are tender.
mash the taters and top with butter and freshly chopped chives.
drink the other half bottle of merlot while stuff is cooking.
