This is why I love/hate Packer fans, consistently yet completely detached from reality.

Unless you really believed the Pack were going to lose to Detroit, this game was completely meaningless and it showed. Thielen, Cooks, Mattison and linebackers all rested. I would expect them to rest again this week and the Bears might win by 20, another meaningless game.

Completely detached from reality? …says the guy who wanted to lay the blame on the referees for what happened last night. rotflol

It wasn’t meaningless for the Vikings, they HAD the potential to jump up to the second seed (you know, homefield advantage and stuff….)

    Did you actually read it?
So you thought GB was going to lose to Detroit?

    They certainly could.

A winning team shows up for a snoozer and gets blindsided by the home team.

Teams win against the odds all the time. Last night proved it.

There is no such thing as a guaranteed win……unless you’re a Vikings fan I guess

When the Packers turn the ball over 3 times in the playoffs, it will be 21-0 in the first half. It won’t get better from there.

I know every year is THE year in Green Bay, but objectively speaking both this Packer and Vikings teams are both one and done playoff teams.

The refs, vikings rested players, so many pathetic excuses for the team that always finds a way to lose. Always has, always will.

When did i blame the refs? I said vikes were manhandled and they didnt call anything. I blame the Vikings for not seeing that and playing the same way.

I expected personal fouls for they way they tossed fragile Rodgers around like a rag doll. But they didnt call anything. Vikes should hsve adjusted accordingly.

To advance in the playoffs, either team will have to find a way to complete a pass longer than 10 yds downfield.

I’m with the Grouse on this one. We are talking about a Bad Team ( Packers ) and a Even worse Team ( Vikings ) Unless something Really strange happens between now and the payoffs – Neither team is getting past their 1st Game.

Just read about how the Vikings re played the Barr injury from a few years ago before the game on the in house video. Stay classy Minnesota. Good thing Rodgers never forgets!

The play during this game was hilarious. I think it was Barr again chasing Mrs. Rogers when she jumped for the out of bounds and then glared at Barr like saying “you big brute, get away, get away”. What a pansy she is!

Sounds similar to Mr. Barr telling Aaron Jones that “the lights too bright for you, get off the field” after he dropped a pass in the first qtr (yes he actually said that). 154 rushing yards, two touchdowns, a win, and division title later… Mr. Barr is now quiet. Well, he should be anyway.

Your right its was hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the packers trolling good ol cuddly Cousins. Z’D doing the “you like that” being my favorite. 0-9 on mnf. We still have 1 more season to get another Packer Viking night light meeting with cuddly cuz!

As long as we are having friendly banter….why did GB even want to win? What is Rodgers home playoff record? The only win I remember is vs MN and their third string QB (maybe his first and only start as a QB). They should WANT to be the sixth seed if they want to have a reasonable chance to advance.

    Convince me otherwise

Diggs will eventually get his way and be out of Minnesota like he tried to earlier in the year. Trade him for a higher draft pick and develope a quarterback like most winning teams do. The teams that have been most successful lately have been doing so with great quarterbacks on rookie contracts which allows for more money to be spent on other positions. The exception being Brady and the patriots but I don’t think he has ever been the highest paid qb in the league. He takes team friendly deals to help the team win

the dikes had 3 turnovers in their end what did they get out of it, 7 1st down the whole game, just over 100 yards total, yep it’s the refs fault, boo hoo cry me a river.

FYI – Green bay had 3 turnovers –

In gridiron football, a turnover occurs when the team with the ball loses possession of the ball without kicking it, which is then gained by the other team.

Wow a lot of angry people here.
When my team gets embarrassed on national TV (E.G. that Sunday nighter against the niners) I’m usually bummed out, and embarrassed- not vicious…

Couple weeks ago I thought the Pack would struggle just not to lose out.
They put up an ok showing against a pretty good bears team, and a better showing against a top 5 (almost) defense last night.
    Trending in the right direction!!

Vikes should take this bye week and get healthy. With any luck (ok lots of luck) the rematch will be at Lambeau in a few weeks!

You know what’s even more embarrassing than the Vikes performance last night? The fact Green Bay has had 2 of the best QBs in the history of the NFL for the last 30 years and have only 2 superbowls to show for it.

The Vikings and Packers have a lot in common. Most specifically, under performing. At least the Vikes aren’t doing it with Hall of Fame QBs in their prime.

dude….this a team sport. Favre, Arodge…..who cares? Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson won superbowls. anything can happen in the playoffs so I am not holding my breath but weirder things have happened.

Hehe. If victory in the super bowl was so easy to achieve with a hof qb even the vikings would of done it by now – think of your own tarkenton and favre. It’s so sad to think back on the paltry super bowl victory in 1996 and 2010…hehehe

I love when this one gets pulled out!

I can take it or leave it when it comes to football. The wife is a big Vikings fan & I (truthfully) only watched the game hoping to see Rodgers break an arm. I’ve never seen a bigger girl then that feller right there. Hardly manhandled, both teams were horrible. Cousins looks like he is scared to death out there. He’s in way over his head.

and then you pick them up when we’re done with them and still lose. I can remember Dike fans saying Farve should be kicked out of the NFL , but when he put on the Queens dress, he was the chosen one, greatest thing since sliced bread, taking them to the Super Bowl win, how that work for ya?

I expected the game to be closer last night but realistically i don’t see either team going anywhere.

The vikings haven’t beat a good team all year.

The best teams the packers beat were the vikings and mahomes-less chiefs. Hard to have any confidence after they were dismantled by the 49ers and chargers, lost to a bad eagles team at home and needed help from the refs to beat the lions.

The nfc is just a race to see who gets dismantled by the ravens.
