Seeing as we are 2 weeks out, I would like to start to get some of the details down….
    1st Food…
I would think we would need at least 2 grills for lunch…
I will supply the condiments for dogs.brats, burgers and such plus maybe a beef stick or so……
    2nd
I was thinking of maybe meeting afterwards to have pizza or such…I am going up to scout places out a few days before…

Can anyone else think of anything??

    I’m getting fired up smile

There is a really good Irish Pub by the bridge in Sturgeon Bay. Kitty O’Reillys not pizza but they have a real good Alaskan beer. Could do a Fri. night meet, for the ones that get up there early. Anyhow, Bring your own drinks and eats? Someone want chilie or a bouya??? spelling, spelling How about some apple moonshine(or after)?

I will be coming up on Friday now and would like to get some fishing in around Sturgeon Bay if people would like to meet up early. I don’t know any of the area over there.

Mike…Try out Little Sturgeon Bay or Sand Bay a few miles South….It’s a pretty popular area so you should be able to get out somewhere on your own….
Give me a call as to when you are going through Green Bay..
I can give you some directions and such…..

We went out of Sand Bay yesterday. Most are taking out trucks now. There are a few drifts, but they are not bad. Some are taking out cars.

07 I will probably take you up on that. We will be leaving sometime in the morning from La Crosse with about a 4 hour drive. Quick stop at the hotel and should be ready to hit the ice.

    1. Accucast has been pretty close in a general for long range. If they forecast west winds, they are usually SW to NW, and wind speeds are in the ball park. Granted, I’ve had more times it said 30+ and reality was maybe 20. But at least enough of a gage to plan with.

    2. Yes, ALWAYS windy on the bay. At least you won’t have to worry about 3 to 5 foot waves

My first time out there, but the road runs out to the northwest along shore, until your out near Snake Island. Then turned northeast. I looked at my GPS. We were about 3 miles off shore and north almost to the point where we straight out from Idlewild. About 50 feet of water.

As far as food goes,My suggestion is everyone bring their favorite meat or such to grill and their own utensils ..
As far as the extras…we can do a pot-luck type of thing…like I said I’ll bring the basic condiments and a snack or so….
We will see what shows up crazy grin

I’m gonna be bringing a little Coleman road trip grill and everyone is more than welcome to use it. Just can’t get a ton of food on it cause it’s kinda small. Heard the bite is pretty hot right now..hope it holds for a couple more weeks. Getting damn excited!! I’m heading up either later Friday or super early Saturday morning. It’s gonna be close to 3 1/2 hour drive for me. Mudshark do you know how early in the morning we are meeting Saturday?? Also where is the closest address so I can get a map and directions printed. Thanks!

Joe….I have to talk to clown more.but he said he was taking the wheel shack out so tossing in a bigger grill would not be a big issue (I hope)…I’m trying to round up at least 1 more small gas grill and will bring my big sunflower…
As far as time and place….Paul said he would be taking the people bringing their own shacks out first, approximately 6AM,exact time TBA…Then the rental people….
As far as where…that too will be pending until we get closer….for now….use Egg Harbor as a starting point..55 mile N of GB…

I’ve been a little behind, but two for me as well for sure.

Did you ever get in touch with Paul about a rental bud?
Last I heard they might be hard to come by….but you can still bring a portable….
PM me guy….the more the merrier peace

10 days away from today grin

I’ll have my 3-man hub. If some one needs a place to fish, you’re welcome to join me.
