It’s all a family thing. If your dad drove a ford, your gonna drive ford. If he drove a chevy, you probably own a chevy. If you drive a ram you had two dads.

That one’s pretty funny I like that.

The other thing about Rams is they lack features that are always standard on other trucks like blinkers. I can’t remember I the last time I saw one with blinkers.

A lot of them come with some unique features though like license plates that start with W

First thing my buddy asked is if my Ram came with an Affliction t shirt.

Do folks really believe that all RAMs have small screens?

    Genuinely curious.

Just like saying GM trucks need refinement and have the worst ride I’m guessing. Coming from people who havent been in them. Rams have big screens like the others, hate that you have to use the screen to control some things however

In the manual they show you how to use hand signals.

How many 1/2 tons still come with column shifters? Seems a lot have switched to counsel or dial(lame) now.

The new tundras are pretty bad azz. I was leery of the v6 turbo but am sold on it now. Pulls trailers better than the RAM 1500 v8’s. My last tundra and Tacoma both had 250k+ miles with no issues.

My dad, bro and many of our other hunting and fishing buddies have RAMs. Nice trucks but none of them keep them past 100k miles because no one trusts them.

Finny – what are you getting for milage? As advertised? I’m considering one for the next truck, and have heard/read varying degrees of satisfaction with the milage. Both as to what they claim they get, and once you start towing…

Lets keep this RAM bashing thread on track… this isn’t about Toyotas that never break and jeans that tear up seats on all brands. coffee (that was always a fun conversation when their seats were shredded and not warrantable)

I like their max care package where they warranty everything but make it so painful and drag it out so much you just sell the POS

Adding a another one to the Dodge list – just under 250K miles and 3rd brake caliper is leaking. When does it become defective design? I understand things fail, but two front left and now a front right.

I’v never had any problem at all. Did a $3600 repair at 11 years old and about 160k miles no questions asked.

The guy I work with had the max care thing and his transmission went. Brought it in and it sat there for 8 months before the could get a transmission to put in it. After about 10 months he finally got the truck back and the new transmission crapped out within 2 weeks. He brought it in to get it fixed again and told them to just keep it. It was quite the ordeal and I guess it was a nightmare dealing with RAM

I wont bash Ram for this because I think it could be useful, but that funky tailgate that swings to the side would be handy. I have never used one or know if they are full of problems (probably), but I would probably use that unlike the multi-flex I have on my GMC.

I played with one when looking and it helps to not have to reach over the tailgate. The reason I was looking though was because it was hard for my wife to open tailgate when the latch is shoulder height and it starting getting sticky with age. Was hard for her to horse it open that high up or to do it one handed. Turns out the tailgates are aluminum now and weigh nothing so don’t think it will be an issue. I also got the power lowering because it comes with package but, since it’s so light, that’s kind of pointless too.

I’m on my 3rd Ram. The first 2 were eco diesels and got great mpg. Averaged close 24 mpg for 2 trucks. Just bought a 2025 Ram limited, fully loaded last August. Got the twin turbo hurricane engine. Got 22 mpg on road in the warmer months and 18 to 19 this winter. Had the split tailgate and didn’t think I’d like it, but it is awesome. Use it more than the conventional tailgate. As for problems on my 3 rams. I had to replace a battery on one and besides new tires I haven’t had any at all. I might be one of the lucky ones

Back to the stickers. Yes they come stock with the huge ugly ones on them but has anyone else noticed when you see a truck plastered with stupid stickers basically forming a wrap 90% of the time it’s a RAM? The brand must attract a certain type.

Still mad I didn’t get the stickers they are supposed to come with. How will someone on the highway know I have 4×4 if it doesn’t say so on the side of the box? jester

I can say I have not seen any issues with the Multi-Function tailgates yet… cool

(they did make sticker size and placement a major issue though)

    Can’t say I have?

Both of my Rams came with zero stickers.

The front doors have small raised Cummins emblems and small raised 2500 emblems. The tailgate and grill have small 3D Ram head emblems, and a small raised chrome 4×4 on the tailgate.

However, my 2024 FORD 2500 company truck has BIG 4X4 STICKERS on the box. It also has “SUPER DUTY” stamped into the tailgate in GIANT letters.

It’s five feet of letters so you KNOW it’s really super…

Chevy does the same thing, so you know it’s a “CHEVROLET” all the way across the damn tailgate, and it’s common to have 4X4 STICKERS on Chevy boxes too.

Worse yet, a lot of newer Chevys have “CHEVROLET” plastered across the entire grill!!?! Even my base model 2023 Chevy had that.

    That shits crazy…..

Not sure why, must be to make you mad. They both put my tiny Ram emblems to shame rotflol

My mechanic and his son who is taking over the business said to me, independently, whatever you get, don’t get a RAM!! They say the parts are cheap and quality is bad. They currently have a mechanic that worked at a Dodge dealership for ~7 years and all he did was warranty work. shock

So we have shops that only work on Rams. Ram shops in Hawaii that are never full, but the Toyota Shops are all full there. I think we have to come full circle on this LOL
