Do they still have the cooler under the floor in the back seat?
Wait, are those boxes insulated? I put ratchet straps and bungee cords and poop in mine. I didn’t know they were for beer. Not sure how you’d reach it while driving anyways though

Reef, that’s what the kids are for. They can manage the cooler and keep the driver hydrated.
My kid had a 2012 big horn now he’s in a 22 Rebel, yep even has the big Rebel patch on the back, that’s a sweat truck! Too many options for me. I’ve been partial to the 2500, they look great, my 16 2500 Ram has been a great truck, a little rougher ride but that’s ok. My wife reminds me of it every Friday in the summer while looking at a laptop bouncing while she’s finishing off her day heading to the cabin… what a gal.
I snapped this picture when I got to work this morning. I know we live in Minnesota but that’s just not normal.
I see your working hard now.. your on a roll.. I only see 1 sticker ???
get back to work you hard working man !!!
I just bought a 2025 GMC AT4 with 6.2 gas. Traded a 2021 with 225,000 on it. I’ve owned 9 1/2 ton Chevs and Gmcs and never had a lick of trouble with any of them. Granted I’m mostly highway miles. As far as the 2025 GMC, if it could cook, I would marry it.
A gas motor is a gas motor.
Can’t complain about my ‘14 Ram 2500.
Turning 430,000 miles on the Cummins tonight. Hasn’t left me walking yet, knock on wood. The DEF system fell off a while back otherwise it’s been good.
They didn’t have DEF in 2014 did they? I’m not a diesel guy but I think dutch is pulling some shenanigans here.

Sweet truck and I feel the same way about my truck. I about cried as I narrowly missed 2 deer at the same time last weekend. Some impressive driving skills there for sure. I had nose marks on the salt on the driver’s door from one. I was thinking I was going to destroy big sexy.

From a Prestone site:
EPA Regulations Mandating DEF
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued new emissions regulations in 2010 that required diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in diesel engines. These regulations, known as Nonroad Tier 4, apply to diesel engines used in off-highway applications such as construction, agriculture, and industrial sites.

Yes, have to find prior to ’11 or ’12 for non def if I remember correctly

I can neither confirm nor deny there is a blue plastic cap that says “DEF only” behind the fuel door.
Serious question here now. How do you guys pull trailers or haul stuff in the back of those RAMs? I don’t see many 2500’s around so I can’t say for them but the 1/2 tons look downright dangers when they are pulling or hauling something. Why do they make them like that and is it as scary as it looks?

Oh Dutch you never disappoint LOL

The thread is about 2500 & 3500 models.
How do they pull? I don’t know, I just hook up my 28′ tandem axel trailer, load my forklift on, load the tool boxes. Stick the phone in the hands free holder, stick it in D and go. Getting to technical isn’t me.

Oh I guess now I can’t even ask an honest question now without getting jumped all over. I must have missed the part where it says this is about 3500 and 2500 only.
I think you should get an eye exam before you hit the road again. Really makes me question if you can even read the odometer you brag about if you can’t even read the title of a post. Typical RAM owner. Smart as a box of rocks. I guess they stay in business….for now because of people like yourself.

Do you mean the rear sags? I’ve heard people say that before but mine doesn’t when I’m pulling the boat. I’ve got a Ranger Reata 1850.
I know the higher trim models have self leveling air bags but I assume that’s common across all brands?
Yea that’s what I’m talking about. I’ve noticed it even when they are at the boat landing with an empty trailer hooked to them. If you ever see one with a fish house or something heavier it’s really noticeable. Just curious why they are sprung so much lighter than other brands? How do they handle when they are like that? It can’t be pleasant?
A lot of guys add air bags inside the coil springs on the rear of the 1/2 ton Rams to eliminate squatting. I’ve installed just a many airbag kits on the leaf springs of other 1/2 ton trucks for the same reason as well.

Dutch, you better get driving if you’re gonna make a run for the title.

That answers lots of my questions. Didn’t know they had that kind of suspension. That explains it. Why do they do that though? That’s like a heavy SUV set up.

Never been an issue for me but the tongue weight is pretty low on the ranger. Truck rides fine towing or not.
I think key with the Ram is you need to get the huge side mirrors to balance the weight out. Those mirrors aren’t just cuz the look cool.
Had a 2014 half ton Ram, pulled my Pro-Line around the Midwest with it just fine.
My 2018 2500 Cummins is just getting broke in at 80,000 miles. It’s been in the shop ONCE for a grand total of 2 hrs (def pump at 50,000)
While installing new brakes at home this spring I found the start of a tiny rear axle seal leak, easy and cheap fix, rolled it right in while doing the brakes and rear diff fluid.
Rams have treated me well, just as well or better than all of the Ford/Chevy/Ram work trucks I’ve had in the last couple decades.
Thought about buying a Ridgeline next, but the tampon dispenser takes up the spot where I like to keep a pistol
You guys bragging up towing with a Ram crack me up. You haven’t pulled crap until you towed with a ‘71 gremlin
Do the 3/4 tons have coil springs too?
On the rams 2500 yes. They suck for truck campers.
I keep looking at new or newer trucks wanting to replace my 12 ram 2500. I keep going back and forth between another ram or going back to Chevrolet. I do plan on going to a 3500 and gas again.
Just had one of my guys call in. His Chevy PU blew an “oil coolant line”.
He asked if he could use one of my Ram’s while his is in the shop, I said sure.
Then Laughed.
