I’m all for helping people but there isn’t one cell in my entire body that would think of asking for a handout so that I can (allegedly) buy nearly $3000 fishing electronics. Yes, I’ve scrolled through go-fund-me and I realize this wouldn’t even make the top 1000 of the most absurd things people ask for money for.

My brother is a well known tattoo artist in our area. Unfortunately, tattoo artists do not get health insurance.
Why doesn’t he buy it?
Because that would be considered adulting
My wife is self employed and buys her own health insurance. It’s not a fun thing to pay for but has to be done.
Go Fund me page links should be an offer to support a sudden tragedy or event that puts a person or their family in jeopardy. An ask for money to have fun should be deleted.
My advice is build a reputation and earn your sponsors. Not easy.
