Isn’t that the truth. Started with compact fluorescents and now LED all to save energy. The only bulbs that have lasted are my old incandescents.

Same, I blame it on my cheap fixtures.

First house I had a regular bulb last as long as we were there, laundry room in basement which stayed on 95% of the time, lived there 7yrs and still going. I honestly want to knock on the door just to ask if that bulb still going.

Agree.

Even if the LED bulb is rated for enclosed spaces … they do not last that long when enclosed. I have found few failures when the base of the bulb can dissipate heat.
