Woke up this morning and we have 6-9″ of ice out past Olson’s reef. We were able to make it to Huddle'(1 1/2 mi out) and found ATV accessible ice out there as well. Most of the people heading out are looking for walleyes and finding some throughout the day. The best depths for everybody going out and for myself are in 14-16 feet of water. Our shore line structure is getting fished pretty hard right now, so if you are able to make it out a little further you should keep on new fish. There are some big cracks and ridges out past, huddle’s reef, one runs from Diamond point to Pelican Island, and another from the South of Bear Island out to Pelican. Those are the normal spots for them, please use caution if you are heading out that way. Pine Point, Traders Bay and Agency have some ATV travel on them and I have seen some nice limits pulled out of there as well. Walker Bay is still half open and hopefully will get locked up by this cold front moving into the area today. Looks like we have some highs in the single digits, and some negative temps. Should hopefully be driving out by the event.
