Just got home from a great trip up to namakan/ kabtogama. I’ve been on crane rainy and sand point but never inbetween. Grubson invited me up to the cabin and it was a great time. Had to work for fish but that was fun exploring new absolutely beautiful area. Trees are dry and already started turning so the views were awesome.
Landed a bunch of fish. Biggest walleye was 24, beautiful gold color, smallie was 19 and fat on a big top water whopper plopper, and I hit a 40 inch pike while walleye fishing that was a riot. Landed on 8 pound test.
Can’t forget about a fire. How awesome it was the have the burning ban lifted.
I will be back up camping many more times in the future with my family.

What a post. Love the nature pictures, us outdoorsmen/women can’t be too proud to take pictures without fish i.e. shoreline, lake, fall colors, etc.

That northern looks very well-built, nice job!

Sorry I guess I posted a bunch of double photos.
The water was around 67 to 64. It was a great time. Lots of fun, and nothing like being up north. We did battle wind. But thats how it goes. Plenty of fish caught. And no minnows went to waste. Even had to fish plastics and cranks for a entire day after we ran out of bait

No, didn’t keep any fish. Caught plenty of keepers. Just up there for fun.

No I guess posting pics on this site is a skill set all to its self. I even backed out of the site and re logged on. Showed no pics, so I re posted pics and now it’s triple lol. My skills are not here

Another great season in Voyager’s National Park has ended for our crew. Thanks for coming along Bearcat. They made us work for it, but it ended up being a great trip.
The big pike on literally the last minnow was icing on the cake. I think the fish gods rewarded us for our efforts.

You had a perfect weather week as well. Many years you’re dealing with 40s as highs already this time of year.
