I’d rather a cold place to sit properly than a balmy awkward squat with no support. 🤷

You have to pad the bottom, 1/4 roll Biffy tp does the trick. I was taught that when I was 18.

Rookies…. Back in my days of winter camping in the BWCA, the 1st person hit the growler with a log from the fire… The trick was to be the 8th in line, seat was nice & warm moon

Yup, I call it a landing pad.

Trouble is when there’s only enough TP for the pad or the wipe it becomes a tough decision.

Guys guys guys….. All’s you gotta do is put a t-shirt on. Legs through the arms, neck hole lined up in the ah, drophatch zone, and sit with 100% cotton between you and the cold seat. waytogo

At least the cold keeps the stink down! Like freezing our fish guts at the cabin in the summer.

Like clockwork last week on Red Lake at 5:30 am I trudged outside in the darkness with my luggable loo lined with a Menards bag. It was peaceful but you didn’t take time to enjoy it.

We stopped in at a neighbors deer shack and noticed they had 2 inch foam cut out like lids hanging from the outhouse wall with their names on each one. We all laughed how dumb it was, but tried it next year in the winter. It’s the the next best thing to being inside!!!! You won’t make it long enough to get through a Covid post here, but might last long enough for a decent fishing report!

At least you are close to your buddy in there. You can cuddle for warmth. woot

As to the comment about the foam insulation, it works wonders.
