There’s so much more to this world than this continuous arguing about the COVID mess on a fishing website.
Phew, glad that debate is over. This literature review about a different disease should settle it. Also happy that I don’t have to wash my hands anymore.
Congrats on the nice crappies, how deep did you find them?

Couldn’t agree more.
I think Jason’s mask was more intimidating than Darth Vader. And that new Star Wars movie with Kylo Ren, his mask is a joke. But the one that Jigsaw wears, well, that’s creepy.
Jason’s mask was way more creepy before he had the hockey mask. Just that bag over his head thing. I still have nightmares of that one.
Michael Myers was pretty creepy too.
Batman’s mask is pretty cool but I think it is considered a cowl.
Zorro looks cool in a mask but do you consider that a mask it only really covers his eyes.
Who is your favorite mask man/women? The great mask debate continues…..
Way to hijack this thread guys. I think what we’re supposed to be getting at is masks in pro sports.
Remember back when catchers would have to toss their masks after locating a pop-fly foul ball? Pretty crazy how far they’ve come with masks for them.
The evolution of a goalie mask has to be the most profound. No debating that. Can you imagine being a goalie back in the day with no mask or just the mask with flat plastic against your face.
I could barely remember Zorro wearing a mask. To busy panting over Catherine Zeta.
If Batman is wearing a mask, then so are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
How bout Jim Carry, The Mask? Cuban Pete conga anyone?
Hockey goalie and catchers masks have really evolved. I did enjoy the custom paint jobs for Hockey.
mask fact: Jason’s mask is actually a William Shatner Captain Kirk mask painted white

Don’t they still do that ??
I think the ones nowadays provide good enough vision that they don’t have to remove them to track those balls.

I was a goalie back then in the 1970’s playing youth hockey.
It was a mask more or less shaped in a face mold and it was fiberglass not plastic.
I wore one and did my own custom flame paint job.
You certainly felt every puck and stick on your chin, and yeah you felt it good.
I also played catcher in Little League BB back then and foul balls off your heavy metal mask was pure punishment.

Deadpool. No debate needed.
Thank you everyone! No more mask debates. Back to fishing. Dragging scatter raps 20-30 feet close to humps and breaks works during the day on the Croix.
As you were…

I was never a hockey goalie, but I was a catcher and an umpire in my younger days. Playing catcher sucked. All that gear was so unbearable. Has to be the one of the more punishing positions in the sport.
I can recall many times when I would take a foul ball when I was an umpire too. The face mask no doubt saved my eye sight, teeth, and other features I still have to this day.
Now, a face mask helps saves others from viral spread!
What about Dr. X in wresting days…The Unknown comic was always funny on the Gong show…
How can we have a thread about masks and not mention THE Mask.

How could I have missed this! Along with Dutchboy I help manage the IDO Pro Wrestling fan club. We could talk forever about pro wrestling masks!
Is it a mask if it just face paint….Ultimate Warrior
If it must be a mask then Mankind and Ray Mysterio…

That is kind if funny.
I have very few pics of my childhood, but I believe I still have one of me playing goalie with that flame painted mask.
This picture would from like 45 years ago.
If I can find it I’ll try to post it. Might take awhile but could be worth it.
I wonder if skipping the mask all together and just living in the environment that you are in could be best for the majority.
I’m not sure about the majority but skipping the mask altogether would be very bad for you if you played hockey goalie.
Here’s former Toronto Maple Leaf and Detroit Red Wing goalie Terry Sawchuck that “skipped the mask”
Here is a gud’n!
Well I think so anyway.
I think if Hannibal Lecter skipped the mask altogether would be very bad for for all of us!
