For all the whiny Karen’s out there the MN DNR has finally heard your voice jester jester

Apparently you bitched enough to have the regulations written in your own language.

    Oops.

Saw that as soon as I picked mine up while at the fleet farm counter, fought off the urge to make a typical smart@ss comment right then and there and pondered it’s meaning all the way from Winona to Rochester where the in laws informed me of the actual answer.

I had only one true encounter with a Karen, I was at our local general store that did require a mask, she was at the counter paying for her stuff in her fake fur jacket when I came in and the first words out of her mouth when I came in was “where’s your mask?” which I had to reply “where’s your bag?” which really set her off! after getting a lecture on what a bad person I was I asked, aren’t you supposed to be Quarantine in your state, what are you doing here? in which she stopped out the door.

….am am told it’s an Asian language.

It was last Sept when I first heard the ethnic group called Karen.
The fella that lost his life at Lock and Dam #3 was described to me by the Deputy Sheriff as a Karen.

Shocked by his comment, I asked him to explain that. Then I had to go look it up.
“are indigenous to the Thailand-Burma border region in Southeast Asia and are one of the many ethnic groups in Burma.”

    Who knew?

My last job, we employed over 20 Karen.
Really great people who came from nothing. Enjoyed their presence as they really enjoy being here, alive, and prospering. Whereas the typical union staffing there was… less than desirable.

The Karen I worked with worked hard to learn English language and the came from a background of hunting.

Darn proud of their culture, they wore a lot of clothing with “karen” on it. Really unfortunate for them to have to compete with the social media Karen meaning.

Good to see DNR helping to get them back outdoors

MN has the largest Karen population of any US State. I first saw it on an ethnicity dropdown menu for some form.

My company is worldwide and we make all sorts of software and other peripherals in the Compliance, Investment and Health industry in many different languages. A few years ago I saw “Karen” and I asked what in the world is that about, then I received an education LOL.
