It will be go/no-go for road blocking riots today. I’m guessing “go” since the article mentions discussion and showing video which hints at officers in the clear.

Bring out the fire departments’ tanker trucks and hose them down.
Any speculation on if charges will be brought against the officers or not? If I didnt even know anything about the case my vote would be no. Not a chance on this one.
I am not looking forward to the announcement. Things could get ugly.
Keeping this short… What I’ve heard from a very credible person who has seen first hand all the details and evidence of this case. There were no witnesses. There were no handcuffs. There is no video that shows much of anything. The EMT locked themselves in the ambulance and called police because they were scared for their lives. Clark was beating on the ambulance doors trying to break in. The police arrived. Clark fought an officer and gained control of his gun. The officers partner gave several verbal warnings to let go of his partner or he was going to shoot, Clark didn’t let go, so the officer shot.
BLM wants the truth and only the truth. Unfortunately, if the truth doesn’t line up with what they want to believe then they will protest that the “system is corrupt and protects cops and promotes killing of blacks.”
It’s a lose-lose situation. Truth comes out, protests and road blocks happen in Minneapolis. Hopefully no riots.
The thing I find the most disturbing is bring kids to these gatherings where the potential for violence is high. The cops should be yanking those with kids right off the street, putting the kids in protective custody and charging the adults[?] who brought the kid with felony child endangerment. Next they should get ID’s from every participant and check the names against national crime data bases and those with felonies should be charged with consorting with know felons as a felon. Those who are not from the Twin Cities should be charged with criminal trespass and jailed until they get to court a month from now. Anyone left should be held accountable for any violence that comes with the gathering.

let’s NOT bring out the fire trucks, unless they start to burn down the city. This is a police matter and should be handled by the police, that is what they are trained to do. Firemen are trained to put out fires and plug bullet holes. I have been in quite a few tense situations over the years, as I worked in the neighborhood where this happened. I have been threatened with bodily harm, and have called for police and fully appreciated their quick and overwhelming response. Let the police do their job and the fire department will be there to do theirs. Controlling crowds with water cannons is something third world countries do, not here in the good old US of A. I am glad I am on vacation today, I will be about 85 miles away from the action, if there is going to be any.
BLM picked the wrong case to push their cause. No charges and these cops should probably get an medal for outstanding service!

Look, all the normal citizens of MN are asking for are 2 things.
1. BLM and other activist groups – obey the law. Everyone agrees that you have the right to express your feelings, but that right DOES not include the freedom to commit crimes.
2. Police and politicians – enforce the law. Immediately and without hesitation. The public deserves enforcement and safety regardless of the alleged motivations of the law breakers. Obviously, I’m mainly addressing the police and political leaders of Minneapolis, here. The rank and file officers are doing what they are ordered to do (or not do) by the higher-ups. The police need to be given the order that the only consideration is enforcing the law at all times and no consideration is to be given to the motivations or political affiliations of the law breaker.
That’s all the people are asking for.

Good ol rumor mill!!
I’ve also heard stories from “very credible” source and the story is altogether different from the one you told here.
Text from Favorite Daughter that works at Hennipen County Medical Center (HCMC)
“Can’t go outside today. Protests at the Government Center and in front of our building. Too dangerous.”
I told her to stay away from the windows.
Puddle is right. I spoke with the Fire Chief in Ferguson a few months ago. They had a hard time just getting to fires.
Chief Harteau has stated she won’t put up with any law breaking protests. Ferguson will not happen here. I agree BLM have the right to a civil protest or march. If they attempt to disrupt traffic, block building entrances or burn cop cars lock them up.
Nobody on this board knows what happened. In a few minutes we will know what law enforcement THINKS happened which is what we will live with.
For some reason I believe in Chief Harteau, I don’t trust Governor Goofy if he gets involved.
I work with the hcmc paramedics daily, I am familiar with said paramedics. I know which story I am believing, no matter the decision of the country attorney
Watching the broadcast now. They’re panning the camera to black people in the room! WTF!! talk about perpetuating racism. Back to the show.
No but the details are good. Decision seems obvious to me at this point.
Does anyone else watching find it ironic that the lady shaking her head after the decision, is wearing blue lipstick?

Im disgusted they keep panning to black people. No call for that.
I give Freeman credit for grabbing the reins on this and NOT having the determination come from an anonymous Grand Jury. Yes, it makes him a lightning rod, but it also takes away the inevitable criticism that the secrecy of a Grand Jury is, in itself, permission to be racist.
All the evidence discussed points to the fact that this was the right decision. Not that that will matter to some…

x2 Good article the other day on why someone would or should not take this decision on themselves. I think he gets big credit to own this.

Agree 100% here.
