Saw this morning that the Three Old Guys that did the Minnesota-to-Alaska Snowmobile Trip a few of years ago are now heading out on their next journey – Minnesota to Newfoundland. Their FB page has been renamed 3 Old Guys Ride Across North America. The post I saw didn’t list a departure date, but apparently they were going to try this last year and the lack of snow forced them to delay. The same may happen again this year, but it said they “remain optimistic.” It was fun to follow along with them on the Alaska trip, I hope they can make it happen this year.

Hopefully conditions work out and they can make this trek. It was fun following them last time.

Are they planning on coming back? If they were from Illinois, the answer is likely No.

The 3 Old Guys are off! They had a safe an uneventful day 1 and made it to Iron River, WI. They said there wasn’t a lot of snow, but enough snow. I’m guessing once they put one or two great lakes behind them the snow cover will increase substantially.

Last time around, it was really fun following along with their adventure! I’m looking forward to following along as they go to the East Coast this time.

I’ll be following along. Pretty inspiring to see. They are the definition of “don’t let the old man in”.

Yeah this will be fun tune in. They are spending a couple days at the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and then will be back on the trail again.

If you like this type of thing then you should look up Ralph Plaisted. I was lucky enough to spend some time listening to a few of his stories at his fishing camp a few years before he passed away.
