I just watched some random video on youtube that was about 20 minutes long. all it was was the hole and a flasher. a school of crappie and i watched it all from the flasher perspective. if it was 200 minutes long i’d of still watched it all.

this tweener weather down here in northern illinois is killin me.

Hopefully it will freeze up enough down there for me to get on the ice safely during my winter break. Hoping to fish the savannah area backwaters.

    HAHA!!!

I’m in Naperville and I feel your pain HND!!

Lots of us ice-heads are hurting for safe inches to fish! I’d watch marks on a flasher for hours too even if it was on TV.

I’m from ten min south of the border as well, and I have not heard anybody being on ice down there yet. My dad is usually on top of that pretty good. Ill be finding out next week if the ice is any good in Stephenson/Winnebago County, when I get home from school for break.

I wouldn’t doubt though some shallow ponds are plenty safe but they have had a lot more warm weather to deal with.

After tonight’s fishing trip I’ll gladly stare at a video of marks on a flasher-all I stared at was total blank on mine this evening. -(

Would it be wrong to move to South Dakota just so I could ice fish for two months longer? Sweet pile of perch Slaby.

Nicholas I hate to be the guy to break it to you…..but there won’t be any fishable ice in Stephenson or Winnebago next week. There is barely any now….supposed to be in the 50’s and rain Sunday night. I live in McHenry county …was over that way last week….

Ya I figured that would be the case, if there isn’t safe ice by the end of the year I will be heading north just to fish and probably will anyway, it may be the Madison Chain a lot more this winter.
