I really very seldom recognize people that are just doing their job. That said, I just felt the need to share my experience.

For a few years I have been conveniently dropping in too bend Dean’s ear in Chippewa and more recently Ramsey trying to learn as much about Skeeter as I could. I really wanted too buy a Skeeter, but due to other commitments, I was unable too. My wife and I finally ordered a new MX 2040 the other day. Not having purchased a boat in about 15 years we didn’t know what we were in for. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy, transparent and pressure free the whole process was.

We also had concerns about the new packaging of the MX 2040 as my wife was going to pick the colors….after a little anguish we settled on a color and I honestly think it was a lot easier this way.

If you’re in the market I would strongly recommend working with the SBC team at either location.

I just want to thank Dean, Cal, Tony(for the test ride that help change my wife’s mind) and all the rest of the quality people at SBC. This business is a model of how any dealership should be run.

I’ve also had my old boat serviced there…. they really do it right! I plan to continue working with them on my new boat in the upcoming years!

Now, as I sit looking out at a half frozen Mille Lac’s Lake (where we recently moved) and wait…. watching James or Key’s and anything else out there with MX2025’s on Youtube. Something tells me winter is going to seem a little longer this year as I wait to get the new ride home!

    Thanks again!

    Hi Jeff,
I agree totally with you on your claims about SBC and Dean and the rest. I have talked some with him and it was like talking with a life long friend. None of my questions were below him or any one for that matter and always made me feel as if I had asked a very good question.

I watched an interview with Dean on you tube about SBC and if nothing else that alone would have sold me on dealing with them. I have a little longer to wait yet but I know that I know what boat I am going to have and where I desire to purchase it.

If you find any other videos on you tube with the MX 2025 or 2040 in them other then keys and IDO PLEASE let me know. I about know Mikes lines for the past few years by heart and James and the gangs as well.lol

Oh and congratulations to you and your wife with the purchase of the new MX 2040. For the very first time in my life I am settled on ONE boat and nothing about it bothers me.
Have a great love filled Christmas and may spring come quickly to you.

Thanks James. I’ll bird dog anything I find on the two models if other than Key’s and James.

Merry Christmas and good luck with your upcoming purchase. The hardest part is picking a color or at least it was for my wife…LOL

    Jeff Hi,
Yea I agree picking the color is always the hard part and I always in the past had a lot of input on the choice. lol Then you add the 6 I believe color packages and it gets even harder.

After viewing many different resources for pictures of these color packages I found not all pictures do them justice.

We are going with Package C – it is the closest color scheme to the MX that we really liked. So what Color package did you go with ?
Have a great week and Merry Christmas

    James,
Going Color Pattern H. I know the graphics don’t do them justice I’m sure better pictures will be available soon.

Thanks Calvin… I won’t be shy, I still have a few decisions to make. You’ll be sick of me by the time it’s all over!
