This morning almost started out really bad. Arrived to our spot and started to get set up, we were going to be tossing twitch baits shallow. I popped the 788 I have off the base at the console to take it up front (I use it with the big unit at console when trolling) and right out of my hands it goes, over the side and in the water. I frantically grabbed for it but couldn’t get it and proceeded to let the world know of my displeasure. I shucked my sweatshirt as the arms were now soaked, looked up and there behind the boat was my head unit floating! Grabbed it with the net and we gave it a few hours to dry out but it worked like it never happened.
So a big thank you to whatever engineer had the sense to make the head units float and waterproof.
