Testing New Patterns at 10.2K Elevation

Fun day up at 10.2K on Grand Mesa recently! Got to escape the heat (40 degree high the day of this episode at the lake) and had an absolutely awesome day testing new soft bait/soft plastic patterns from one of my sponsors. We go over all the patterns we test as well as some other lure ideas from one of my subscribers.

I always turn into a kid again and start getting very excited when I get new baits or lures in. Always great when they work out too haha. Trout were active for the profile it seemed, several people were in and out that day at the lake and most didn’t catch anything.

We fished from about 1130-4 and caught around 20ish fish between my GF and I and 3 different species! Lake water was frigid, my hands were freezing for a while every time I released a fish. It was really sunny too and felt great with the cool temps. Got some fun drone shots and even got a few catches on the drone!! Pictures as always!! TIGHT LINES EVERYONE!

    Very neat! Pretty area!
Are those self sustaining populations up there, or are they totally put and take?

Sorry for the late reply, I was at a big fishing tournament all weekend… Some of the lakes are and some aren’t. Lots of creeks and streams flow in between a lot of them though. Apologize for my lack of knowledge on that one.
