There I sat in stunned disbelief…

I opened the box of 7 MM bullets to load up more 7-30 Waters ammo to get ready for a few practice sessions before deer season. And it was empty! Oh my aching buttski. I left the box up there as a reminder of the bullet type and then forgot about it until now.

Well, basically, given the terrible state of reloading component availability, I’m hosed. No way am I going to score a popular bullet in a popular caliber right at the beginning of the big game season.

So I went online and there I sat in stunned disbelief. 120 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. In stock!!! Of course, instantly I came to my senses, yelled “Liar, liar, pants on fire,” at the computer screen, and fell on the floor sobbig at the cruel joke that had be foisted upon me. How could they?

I called the place just to let them know that their website was hosed and they were b#stards for pulling this cruel joke on desperate people. And do you know what they said? No, really, we have them in stock.

Package arrived yesterday. 100 shiny new bullets. I’ll get around to loading them as soon as the disbelief wears off. Mrs Grouse looked at me kind of strange last night when I put the bullets under my pillow before I went to sleep… Can’t be too careful.

Well, let’s not get too crazy here. You still couldn’t sell your soul in exchange for primers.

I got lucky on primers. Had a prostaff gig to do at Cabelas and there on the shelf was 3 bricks each of Federal 215M’s and 210M’s. They also had pistol and shot primers. I was happy, happy, happy walking out to my car with enough primers for the rest of the year!

Now, If i could find a couple pounds of MagPro locally…

I didn’t see any bricks but I saw Fleet Farm had primers across the back shelf last week. They were the 100ct. packs. ….. you know…. in case you’re in a pinch.

We have been able to get a fair number of primers the last few weeks.
