    Scheels was about $35/100…

    How does Wally/FF compare?

Right now my formula…. I’m buying 9mm. If less than $0.30 a round, buy 2-3 boxes. If more but less than $0.35 buy one box. Headed to Cabelas tonight to pick up some more 9mm. I’ll check out their .40 pricing for you.

Normal off-the-shelf prices it’s either Walmart or Fleet.

Cabela’s and [censored] Sporting Goods can have some good sales, but you have to pay attention to the sales start/end dates because they tend to publish overlapping sale adverts so it’s easy to go there and then find out you didn’t read the fine print.

I will also say that Joe’s Sporting Goods in St. Paul is reasonable as well. Many of their shelf prices are right in line with Fleet’s normal prices and IME they tend to carry more of some types that I use most like 3 inch mag 20 gage shells.

Gander always seems to have multiple choices including at least one brand at a decent price.

There was NOT a ton of .40 at Cabelas tonight. Most ranged in the $21-23 a box. I saw some Winchester for $39.99 for a 100.

Cabelas has pulled down two full, double sided sections of shelving that was once all ammo. The shelves are getting very bare there. I walked out with 500 rounds of 9MM. Probably need to get another 500 the way the supply looks.

    500 rounds!? I’m jealous.
