Does the 522CI have a media card reader? If so, add the lakemaster chip and you are set. Might not give you turn by turn directions, but at least you got a map of the roads.

It does but the turn by turn is nice. I like mine but have to have two units. Would be nice to have one unit and not have to pay for both? Also nice to have a bigger picture to look at to for us “seasoned” folks!

Ha, seasoned. You don’t look that old. Really.

I gotta imagine this is good marketing strategy on their parts?? At least until enough customers complain.

I second this request. Right now they’re probably happy to make us all buy two units. Eventually someone will make it.

I use my Ifinder H20c in the boat and truck. it doesn’t have turn by turn, but just having the lakemaster map for the roads is usually enough for me.

Well…and you know…the turn by turn isn’t for me…it’s for the better half. I really don’t even need a GPS to find my way around. I only use it for the Lake maps.

It’s funny she was saying that guys don’t ask for directions when they get lost. They assume they know where it is. She said if she gets lost she stops and ask for directions at a gas station. I asked her so who was working at the gas station?? She said… this guy…

I got bored this morning waiting on my truck to get done….so I used the time to whip together a video for mounting scopes. Had a few PMs asking for how I set up my rifles, so thought this was the easiest way to do it. Its a bit long (about 14 minutes). For guys that are looking to do their first one, I think I compiled a lot of good info. For the old-timers that know it all, I’m sure you may have a few things to add – both good and bad – lol.

I did include some info on the Wheeler Fat Wrench. I picked this up for torquing screws a while back and couldn’t be more pleased with this tool. Best & easiest way to torque screws to the proper inch/pounds!

Nicely done. I was just going to ask about mounting scopes. No thread locker on the rings?

I was taught that is “Optional”. If I were to install basic rings with 1 screw on each side of the ring, I would use it.

If my gun does not have a flat spot would it be safe to assume that I could level the gun using the scope base? Mine is a one piece and should be able to fit a level under the scope.

When in doubt , also use a torpedo level and check both sides of the receiver for vertical. If they are both good, the top is horizontal. If the base is flat, that should get you close. You will notice the difference if you start plinking out to 4,5, 600 yrds or more the off axis becomes more appearent.
