    Curious, do you have a department-issued gun or do you supply your own? And what do you carry for your duty gun?

    It is supplied but if I had to buy my own I would by the same thing. Right now I’m shooting a Glock 22 which is a 40. However we are in the process of transitioning over to the Glock 17 Gen 4 which is a 9mm. The reason we are switching is because with the latest ammo, the 9 is very close to the 40 numbers wise. Also with the lower recoil more rounds go on target. A lot of the big Departments and Swat teams are going back to 9’s. For my first job I did have to buy my own and I bought a Glock 23 which is a forty.
