Pistol Ammo – where to get it in bulk?

Anyone order pistol ammo on line in 250+ round sizes?

I’ve only had my 92 for a couple weeks and I am over 400 rounds through it so far and I really enjoy shooting it so I am sure there will be many more rounds through it in the coming weeks.

Just wondering…where do you get your ammo if you are not in to reloading?

When I bought the pistol at cabelas they had Herters 9mm on sale for 10.99 or 10.49 a box…had I known how good a deal that was I would have bought a case of it. Cheapest I am finding since is about $12 a box.

    Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated!!

That Herter’s stuff is a good deal! I normally get a bunch of .357 when it’s on sale. I’ve also had good luck with the Magtech “Shootin’ Size” 250 rd packs.

I usually place an order online with Cabela’s for free in-store delivery. That way, I get to avoid shipping charges and hassles. Then, I just pick it up when ready.

Cheaperthendirt.com very reasonable but they have a hard time keeping shells in stock that are cheap. I really like there site it gives a place for users to rate that particular ammo.

Check out gunbroker.com. While I was watching a gun auction I was also checking out ammo as well. Lots of bulk ammo and some had free shipping.

Gander has 250 round packs on their site for 59.99 so I bought a couple of those for now so I am covered for a bit but I will definitely check out some of these other sites in the future.
Also going to watch for Cabelas to have Herters on sale for under $11 for 50 rounds again and will jump on that for 500-1000 rounds.

You do realize $60.00 for 250 rounds is the same as $12 for 50 rounds right?

It is???? I did git me one of them kolledge edukashuns ude a thunk Ida knowd that.

Just kidding…..I know it is but other than the Herters stuff on sale at $11 per box the best sale prices I have found in stores are $12.49 or $12.99 for a box so the 250 for $60 is a slightly better deal at $12.00 per box.

And then…Murphy’s law kicks in….bought the stuff at Gander last week and get a Cabela’s add in the mail Sat that starting Wed they will have the Herters on sale for 10.99 again.

Now…being the positive guy I am…..I am actually looking at this as an opportunity to buy a bunch more ammo and shoot the heck out of my 92.

Not to mention….now I HAVE to go to Cabelas…..oh darn.

Ha ha ha! I actually saw that ad and thought of you. I don’t feel too bad for you, though, as I just dropped $115 on 250 rounds for my .357 Magnum

Ah well, if I am having fun, it is worth it.

Might want to stock up. I heard that Fedral sold out their entire 2012 production run at the SHOT show in 3 days. Which means when stores run out it might be quite awhile before they can get more.
