I ended up getting a Beretta 92A1 yesterday at Cabelas.
Put almost 100 rounds through it today and my worst mag(last one I shot) was 12 of 17 in a 10″ pie plate at about 30 feet, my best was 15. I know that is NOTHING to brag about for accuracy but considering I haven’t shot a pistol more than a couple rounds here and there in probably 15 years I was pretty pleased.

Most importantly it felt good in my hand and I really enjoyed shooting it. I want to go again already.

It breaks down super easy so cleaning is a snap.

Thanks to everyone that posted feedback on my original post!!!

I might have to stop over at Bill’s in Robinsdale Tues night to do some indoor shooting.

Nice gun! My buddy’s got one, and I like it. Is yours blued or stainless steel?

I’d join you, but my wife has volleyball, so I am on dad duty tonight.

The one I bought is blued, it was actually the last one they had at Cabelas in Owatonna. It wasn’t on display I asked if they had any 92s and one of the counter guys went in back and found it. I had decided on the M9 when the guy came back with the A1, with the extra clip, speed loader and hard case it was a no brainer for the extra cost over the M9.

The sales guy suggest snap caps for dry firing so I bought some, I have yet to use them but I am looking forward to practicing with them to help me with consistency.

Sweet. My buddy has the SS one, but I think I like the looks of the blued version better.
