Thinking about stopping there tomorrow night 5-6 pm to look at pistols and maybe try some out if they have test guns you can use for a fee.

Anyone frequent Bills in Robinsdale?? Do I need anything special to rent a gun for the range? Should I get ammo there or bring it with?

I know Ralph Wiggum has shot there some, I’m sure he’ll chime in. Tuck, Bk and few others have also shot there. I’m sure you’ll get some useful info soon.

    Thanks Kooty.
I am really leaning toward the PX4 Storm from Beretta, I have handled it a couple places and really like the feel. It got good reviews as well.

I was up there shooting a few weeks ago and I rented a gun and shot for about an hour and it cost me somewhere around 45.00 for rental, lane and ammo…

I shoot there and live nearby. They don’t have free trials (unless maybe you can convince them), but you can rent any of a multitude of guns. I think handguns rent for $15. Range fee is $20 for one person, $30 for two. If you are shooting their guns, you must buy their ammo.

I would recommend it. I’d join you, but I’ve got a busy week!

Oh, you’ll need your drivers license, eye protection, and ear protection. You can rent your eyes and ears there, but I just bring my own.

I used to shoot there often. If you just want to shoot your stuff, driver license is fine. to rent, you will need permit to buy also. your conceal/carry covers that. if not , go to your local police station and register for a permit to buy. have fun, try em’ all!

I don’t think you need a permit to rent there. Probably best to call, though.

I called yesterday afternoon and it is $20 for the lane $15 for the first pistol and $10 for each additional and their ammo is $20 a box for 9MM which is kinda high since cabelas has Remmington 9mm ammo for $11 a box but I understand why they want you shooting their ammo through their rental guns.

Of course getting out of the house this morning I completely forgot my “ear muffs”.
I might have some foamies in the truck I will have to look when I go out to lunch.

How long have you had your Storm Ralph? Do you like it better than the Beretta 92?

I am definitely thinking 9mm, cheaper ammo and it will be easier for the wife and kid(in a few years) to shoot.

I don’t have one…yet. I find it very comfortable to shoot, though.

If you like the Beretta 92, I would suggest seriously looking at the M&P series from S&W. I vowed to never carry another Smith and was a diehard Beretta guy until they came out with the M&P line. Just my 2cents.
