I found a way to take my CC class online recently. I was able to watch the literature/video and take the written test via the web. Today, I go in for the shooting portion and a short verbal test. I can’t wait to get this out of the way.

Got my permit in the mail today!! Took the Wright county Sheriff less than a week. Likely because I just got the purchase permit back in early January.

Nice. Do you plan on carrying regularly? What did you buy again, the S&W Bodyguard? What holster?

Great questions. I do plan to carry regularly. It’s gonna take some adjustment simply because I’ve not been a pistol guy most of my life. I also have a large challenge. I pick up 2 kids at two different schools. As you know, I need to lock the pistol away. So, I’m looking for something safe, yet convenient to lock away in the car. Then, I can bring it into the house after all the pickups are comepleted and we are home for the night. Suggestions?

As for day to day carry, I probably need to go with ankle area as I’m professional casual. Meaning dockers and polos are my primary day to day clothes. Come weekends, I’m not sure if I’ll carry differently. I’m open to suggestions in this arena too as I’m a rookie. Suggestions for a good holster differently than above?

I shot the S&W Bodyguard for the first time during my qualification. I know, probably not the smartest move. However, it performed flawlessly. I explained to Gary it hadn’t been fired before. He said no problem, we have his pistol as a backup if there is a problem. Surprisingly, I shot pretty well with it. It’s a got a very long trigger pull and I can tell I won’t be very accurate with it. However, in close it will suffice. I’m already looking for a more “accurate” carry option. Again, I’m open to suggestions here.

So, for you guys with experience, I’m open to hearing lots of opinions.

I got my permit the other day as well!

I can not find a pic of it but I saw an add some where for a holster that looked like case for a cell phone I think it was Bull Dog but not sure on that.
