Jon, does the Kel-Tec have a safety option ?

No safety. But it’s a safe gun IMO. Hard 9 lb trigger pull. Recessed hammer. DAO. Wont go off if you drop it. Personnaly, last thing I want is a saftey on a carry gun. Why I still like revolvers too!

Jon when you carry do you keep a round in the chamber? Not having a round in the chamber would be like having a safty on the gun would it not?

Everyone has to do what feels right but I quit carrying an uncharged gun long ago. You simply will not remember to charge it if faced with a split second decision that means your life.

Personally, I think a DAO with a round in the chamber is pretty safe. The only way for that gun to go off is by pulling the trigger, and with the heavy trigger pull of those guns, the likelihood of an accidental trigger pull is nil.

There is very little chance of my Bodyguard ever getting the trigger pulled while carrying. It’s the one issue I have with the gun, but it’s got it’s benefits also.

Ditto. I keep a round chambered. No way this gun goes off by itself.
