marlin model 336 RC

    Picked one up for my son to use in 30-30 cal for deer season and am curious what the diference is from a “C” to the “RC” model.Did not find the answer online so thought someone here would know.Thanks

    I poked around on-line and from what I read, the RC is discontinued and the only difference between it and the C is the stock material. The C (which stands for Carbine) has a Walnut stock and the RC (regular Carbine) has a hardwood stock, not Walnut. Not a big difference from what I found
