I recently bought a Stoeger 3000 STF over/under. Not really sure if this is a problem or just an annoyance from a lower grade gun.I called Dick’s and the gun guy said they all make that noise. The pic shown is the action. The rod in the middle slides back and forth when the action is closed and is what’s making the noise. When the action is open, no noise. Any idea what that rod does? Can I put some petroleum jelly around to stop the clanging noise?
