It seems everyone has that go to powder that you work miracles with. For small rifles, Varget has been consistently the “cure-all” for me. Been having trouble with a second 22-250 I have for outfitting with. No matter what I tweaked, couldn’t get better than a 1″ group at 125yrds and nearly 3″ at 250 yrds. Today was no different than past experiences. Gave up on H380, IMR 4350, and others. Resorted to an old stand by load for generic purposes 55 gr V-Max or Nosler at 34.4gn Varget with a Fed 210M primer. Like a fine tuned Lamborghini, she was drivin’m at 225 yrds. I could see the hole getting bigger in the spotting scope, so I dropped the cross hairs below my dot for the 5th round. Ran home and duplicated the load for a 2nd test – Identical to the first. Chrony shown it at just over 3600fps. Hopefully the winds will die down so I can do some 400 to 500 yrd tests before the weekend. I leave the 23rd for WY. Daughter can soot the Antelope, and I’ll be popp’n the P/dogs.

That will work! I feel sorry for those goats.
