    I’ll second John Walter. He’s repaired and cleaned many for me the past 20+ years. If the bail spring isn’t broken but the bail still doesn’t snap back John will likely check to see if the bail is “sprung”. He’s fixed a couple for me with that problem and advised me the cause is usually not transporting them carefully enough.

    Well Jeff, I learned the real cheap method …..I always closed my bail by hand
    No broken springs

    If it is a Shimano they all take the same spring ..at least my different models do. It takes about 5 minutes even if you have never done one before.

    Pull the two screw out from the bail pickup side and the spring lies under neither the small plate. Nothing to it don`t even need to remove the other side of the bail.

    I forgot to post a couple weeks back. There’s a new gun store in Woodbury on the corner of 494 and Valley Creek. He was formerly in Lake Elmo. Very big on reloading supplies. Some guns and he does gun transfers very cheap.
