I found a pretty decent deal from Cabela’s on .357 Mag ammo, if anyone needs some. It’s on sale for $20/50 rounds. 158 grain JHP. They’ve also got .380 on sale, but I’m not sure if that’s a good price or not.

I ordered some and picked it up today. It’s made by Fiocchi in the USA, if that matters to you

I’ll report if I have any problems with it

Shouldn’t have any problems with that ammo.

I’m not sure if that was sarcasm or not

I shot a box of it this morning and was pleasantly surprised. All 50 went bang, and they were pretty clean. I’m happy with them.

On the other hand, I was at Dick’s Sporting Goods the other day and spotted “Value Packs” of Ultramax “remanufactured” (ie once fired) .38 special on sale for a price I couldn’t pass up. It shot fine, but there was so much smoke, I had to wait for it to clear after each shot. I began to wonder if they put black powder in it! Dirty, dirty stuff. So, I have 200 more rounds that will probably get relegated to outside shooting only.

Here is what the Cabela’s “Herter’s” stuff looks like:
