Anyone own one? Seriously looking at buying one, dont really need the power but would be nice to have the range for elk hunting. Can anyone persuade me on buying/not buying one.

    Thanks

My cousin loves his. Only complaint is the cost of ammo.

I have a Remington 700 300 ultra mag. bedded and some trigger work and it will now hold 3/4 moa. Everything I have put my cross hairs on has dropped in it’s tracks

Bob have you shot whitetail with it? What kind of damage does it do?

3 whitetail bucks using 180 grain federal premium with the Barnes triple shock. All 3 were High shoulder hits without a pass through. (two of these were Saskatchewan bucks that weighed over 300#) So very little damage to the meat. All dropped like a rock

How does the recoil from your Rem 700 UM compare to “lesser” rounds?

When I am at the range I definitely feel the kick compared to my 7mm. But can’t tell the difference when hunting

It is an excellent weapon for deer and larger game. although weatherby 30-378 is where its at.

ammo prices are a factor with all weapons nowadays. its easier just to invest in some hand re loading equipment. it will eventually pay off in the long run and it is way more reliable and accurate

From what I’ve read, that’s supposed to be a real nice set up. Share another pic with us once you get the scope on it!
