.357 Mag reloading

I’ve had my .357 for a while now and have some once-fired .38 Spl. and .357 Mag. factory brass lying around.

I’ve thought about loading my own ammo, but want to weigh my options since alot of plinking ammo is still relatively cheap, and good hunting ammo running the performance gamut is available factory-built in myriad configurations.

I’m currently trying to do a cost analysis. The big question I have is regarding powder charge.

How much powder is typically loaded in a “plinking round” (in both .38 Spl. and .357 Mag.)?

This would allow me to accurately figure out how many rounds I can get out of a pound powder.

Also, I am excited to hear any recommendations regarding reloading equipment.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
