Anyone have a Caldwell Lead Sled, I bought one on sale last year but have not used it much yet. For those of you who use one how much weight do you add to it to keep it steady? I am going to pick up at least two Caldwell Lead-Shot Carrier Bags they hold 25lbs of lead or sand, will two (50lbs) be enough weight or do I need more weight than that? I will be using the lead sled for my 12 gauge shot gun and my 50 cal muzzle loader.

I love mine! I have 2 sand bags that are maybe 8lbs each. from .22 to 7mm works great. If you caught my post about the Howa 22-250 finally broke in, that is what I use for bench shooting out to 500 yrds.

NRA uses it for all test-shooting they do when profiling a rifle for their magazines.
