Wondering if anyone has done any reloading for a 6mm. are there bullets heavier than 100 grains available and can you juice them up a bit?

Ammo is fairly easy to get in 100 grains. I have a Rem. 788 chambered for this round that I would like my 10 yr old grandson to use. I wasn’t aware of the problems stabilizing the bullet. Thanks for the info. I will have to do more research

Years ago we got our hands on some 120 grain rounds and it was a mess, they foul out and hit the target sideways or just go winging off into the distance. I know we changed the load about twenty ways from Tuesday without inprovement in any direction. Although we have had great luck the 6mm in a 100 grain round nose. Hard hitter and great flyer.

Had a Rem 700 BDL in 6MM…what a accurate and deadly Yote and Whitetail killer…
Go to the Nosler site for best loads with a 100 gr Partition…

I’m new to this forum and would like to add that factory corloct 100 gr shoot sub-minute of angle in my Rem model 700 varmint. The 6mm rifle has about 1 in 9 twist which stabilizes these bullets. I plan to o try some berger 105 gr vld bullets. The .244 remington had a slower twist & wouldn’t stabilize heavy for caliber bullets which is why it lost out to the Win .243. codger

From what I’ve learned onine and here it looks like the problem is the rate of twist when matched to the heavier bullets You need a 1 in 8 twist to staighten out the 105 and bigger bullets and that requires a custom barrel. Looks like I’ll just stick with the nosler partitions and call it good. Thanks guys
