Does any body have this gun, if so wht are your thoughts, thinking of the 270 short Mag. Any feed back would be great!

Don’t own it, but I would like to! Love the Remington 700’s. They have always outshot my Browning A Bolt.

I was thinking about that in a .300 win mag or .338 win mag, but probably won’t “pull the trigger” until I actually need that caliber.

    Good luck!

The Remington Model 700 is the most accurate out of the box rifle there is and is the next gun on my wish list, not sure which one I want yet but the XCR would be a sweet choice, I am going to go with one in a 7mm-08. Here is a link to an old post with a bunch of good info.

My .243 700 SPS Varmint shot 1/2 MOA at 400 yards. Granted this was a 3 shot group, but it was also during the first box of shells fired through it. Better yet, not only was the grouping good, but it was basically right on target with the help of the B&C Leupold VX-III!

My father’s 700 always outshot my A-Bolt, too… Both 30-06’s with me shooting each gun.

Love the Remingtons, and the next Rem I get might just be a XCR!!
