Gun Craze Getting Scary

I just recieved a Gander flyer in the mail. There is one whole page with 8 tactical shotguns!!! Who the **** needs a tactical shotgun!?!?!?! They sure are playing on peoples fears. Not that I’m perfect. I bought an AR this summer but this seems so out there. Tactical and mil-spec are definitely the big buzz words right now.

ps. I know they are cool and I’m not calling any of you crazy if you own one.

Who needs one? That’s like asking who needs a Mustang or Corvette when there are more “sensible” cars available. The truth is people are realizing that tactical style guns are very useful because of their different design features. Then there are those that have realized that the American gun buyer has been thirsty for something different looking for some time. And, last but certainly not least, having such a gun is a fine idea not only for killing zombies but also for TEOTWAWKI which sadly isn’t so far fetched anymore the way things are being run.

i think it would be fun for burning through rounds… kinda like you’re AR. i’d rather fool around with a shotgun vs a rifle. and is there a rule for mag limits for dove?

driving deer on the bluffs out of winona is a lot nicer with a short barrel and a few extra slug rounds too..

Zombies are a tricky thing. The thing is hey are already dead, I guess, so how does a guy know if you killed them again? To be truthful it is a little bit like snipe hunting.

I’ve heard/read/seen it takes severe head trauma so OO buck would probably work better than a puny .223

Gander has lost all the credibility it once had. They only cater to greenhorns with too much money. Kinda like their fishing dept in lakeville, I dont need to have my lures categorized by what a bunch of suits think Ill catch with it… Man they suck

Severe head trauma? Maybe it is best to use grandma’s Buick then?

Gander Mountain in Eau Claire has a good selection of guns but extremely high prices on ammo and the like. They tether their long guns to the shelves and that irritates me to no end. But what is worse is the Scheel’s All Sports in Eau Claire. They now have their hand guns in these insanely ridiculous expanded steel cages. Between dropping their in store lay away plan and hiding their hand guns I have almost completely stopped going in there. My last “few” guns have come from an independent shop in Eau Claire. This guy earns my respect and therefor my money.

Woodbury Gander guns arent tethered. I have a gun there now getting work done. Their gunsmith has always treated me well. For the complicated stuff I would sooner take it to Joe’s. Their gunsmith has been around forever and done work for me several times. Seems to be a true master.
