I have a chance to get a heck of a deal on a Glock 22 40 cal. Anybody have any experience with this gun?

It’s the gun that might save my life one day. I carry one at work and love it. I’m not a fan of the compensated models as if you are close quarter shooting you might get some smoke or fragments in your face. I also own a 23 which just has a little shorter grip. It is a very nice gun to shoot and very easy to take apart. Just make sure you get night sights.

I’d only get it if you are looking for gun of high quality, has lots of holster options available, and goes bang every time you pull the trigger. If you don’t want that, I’d pass on it.

Not familiar with model 22. I have a model 23 in .40 and its awsome. I have shot it a lot this summer. Never fails.

The grip is longer on the 22. I think that is the only difference.

Yep, the only difference is the 23 is a compact, same gun. Shorter grip.

as long as we are getting utube clips, i found this one about broken G22s… guess there was a recall on the ’02 and earlier models.

i wish i was an expert, but i found this interesting.

I’m looking forward to getting a full sized Glock to go along with my G23.

No problems with a Glock .40. Good weapon all around. Don’t know if you are a handloader, but the only trick to remember for .40s&w is to keep the overall length of cartridge beneath 1.135 inches or you can run into magazine feeding problems. This can happen if your using heavy projectiles up around 200 grains.

But if you’re not worried about anything like that, and you’re getting a good deal, go for it. Most Glocks are great pistols right out of the box. May want to put some night sites on it, as a previous poster mentioned.
