I was wondering the same thing… I mostly reload for the smaller stuff .17 Fireball, .204, .223 and have gotten many loads out of my current casings. I know that annealing can affect neck tension but I haven’t noticed any decrease in accuracy so I just keep doing what I’m doing

I have a .250 Helldiver…..a 30-40 Kraig case necked down to .25 cal. The only way to get new cases is to neck then down-anneal and fire form them.

    “pain in the butt”

If there were another way to do this I would be all over it.

I don’t go home from the range without exactly the number of cases I came with.

If you do decide to try your hand at this, make DARN sure the cases are dry before loading them. I’m always surprised of the moisture in the cases days after annealing them.
