I’ve got a Wards Western Field Model 5 that I know nothing about. It is a 22LR semi-auto. Does anyone know the history of this gun?

As you can see, it has a cracked grip which I have been trying to replace. It hasn’t shown up at any gun shows over the years and I haven’t been able to find anything on the more popular websites such as MidwayUSA or The Gun Source. Do you guys have any other suggestions on finding a grip for this? Thanks,

    Lars

that’s a sweet lookin’ shooter… I’m not sure if this is correct but I read on a different site that the gun was originally made by Unique Firearms of France, which has since closed its doors. I did find a site called handgungrips.com that seems to carry grips for pretty much any gun made. It might be worth a try

    Good luck…

Found a little info on-line. Looks like Western made arms for alot of the department stores back in the day. Wards, Sears and JC Penneys. No luck with grip parts. I would say, if possible, get your self a chunk of walnut and start carving… one for each side

I would say that is accurate. The other side of the action reads: “Manufacture D’Armes Des Pyrenees FSES -Hendaye-

I did read that the clip was made in France also.
