Guys I need a favor I am looking at a Model 700™ CDL™ SF in 7mm08. Both Cabela’s & Ahlmans want $899 for this gun, Tom G tells me that is too much for this gun. Here is were the favor comes in could some of you check with your local dealersr and get a price on this gun for me so I could find the best price. Thanks in advane for your help.

Yes I Just checked it out for the first time last night still playing around with it trying to figure out how to navigate the site and find a specific gun.

With guns sales up it’s hard to say what sales may still take place post Christmas. The only push in hunting right now is varmint but my guess is that if you’re in no need to hurry this purchase, a sale will come along in time for next year’s deer season. Cabela’s is terrible at showing current sales on the web and any “in-store” specials will not be seen on the web either. I’d be making phone calls to the stores within traveling distance for more accurate pricing and possible specials. You can also check into some of your smaller dealers, like Coyote Creek in Rochester to see if they can score a deal by special order.

Yup I am going to check with Coyote Creek tomorrow & Wild Goose and also make a trip to Cabela’s to see what they have in stock.
Remington is also offering a mail in rebate of $50.00 for the CDL I think.
I believe your right… Remington is offering a schmit load of rebates on everything… including $5 on each box of Core-Lokt rifle shells… I loaded up

There is a gun show in your town Jan 10 – 11 at the Mayo Civic Center. Ask them dealers what they can get the gun to you for.

Sportsman’s Warehouse sells CDL SF’s for $849.00. If you combine this with rebate, you’re down to $799.00. The Woodbury store didn’t have a 7mm-08 but assured me they could get one in or special order. Give it a look pal!

Thanks Ken that is a good reason to take a trip to a SW I have never been to one, wish we had one closer to me. 
Sometimes this time of the year they have a special where if you apply for a GM CC you get an addl $100 of the rifle!
