You can not really go wrong with any of the big names like: Guest, Dual Pro, Minn Kota.
I run a Dual Pro three bank and love it, just plug it in and the batteries are ready in the next morning.

There is no reason that you need to hook up two leads to one battery as it will charge fast enough. I do not think that any of the companies would recommend that you do it.

What do I do with the extra bank wires, tape them off? I only have two batteries (cranking and trolling motor), just looking ahead when I possibly uprade to a 24v trolling motor

I would cap then tape the two unused leads. Good idea to plan ahead too.

Look at the instruction for your charger. On mine it says to still hook then up and it give the schematic for doing so. This way the processor knows whatto put out to each set of wires.

two leads will be for the trolling motor batteries and one for the cranking.i have a pro charger and its labeled on the wires to where they go.one lead says cranking right on it.im sure it wouldnt hurt to leave one lead unused. i would tape it off and out of the way.

Thanx for the help guys I did a goole search on the brand I am looking to buy and found a owner’s manual to download. The manual says if I have a 3 bank charger and a 2 battery system, hook the 3rd bank to one of the batteries.

Now that the MN shotgun season is over, I am going looking at putting a rifled slug barrel with cantilever base for a scope on my Remington 870. I have looked at the factory Remington barrels which run around 225.00. The Mossberg barrels with a 3×9 scope run about 200.00. The Hastings economy paradox I found online for 130.00. Just looking for your opinions and experiences in shooting any of these. I would also like to know what scope you would put on and why. Thanks for your help!

I have never in my life ever been more passionate over a hunting setup than I am my 870 with a Hastings Paradox barrel and UltraDot scope. You could take every gun I own away and leave me that one, and I would be fine. It is THE ONE GUN I CANNOT BE WITHOUT!!!

Everyone has a favorite gun. This one is mine. You will love that set-up!

I also have an 870 but with a factory Remington rifled slug barrel, I have had this gun for several years got the barrel when they were not as expensive as they are now, if I had to buy one today I would go with the Hastings barrel. I have taken many deer with this gun including the one in my avatar, like Tuck said you will love that set up.

I have an 1187 Sp with a cantilever, rifled barrel and agree with Chris. Best shoot gun bar non. I have a 2X7 scope on it and with Winchester Partition Golds, it’s 5 shots in the bottom of a pop can at 100! Remminton barrel.
