50% less recoil rounds

I took my son to WI for deer season and had set him up shooting a friends .243 since he did not like the kick of my .270. I decided he needed a little more knock down punch since the deer we were seeing where a little further out so I bought some Remington 50% less recoil rounds for my .270 and boy did they work.

With the gun set at 185 yards with standard rounds, I noticed alomst no change in the aim point at 150 yards with these lighter rounds.

My son killed two deer last night useing these 115 grain 50% less recoil rounds at 150 yards off and neither went 50 yards. Of course good shot placement helped with both. The first was a spine shot that dropped the deer dead in it’s tracks and the second shot took out the lungs and the deer only went 20-40 yards before he dropped dead.

I was thrilled for my son but also impressed with these rounds. I had not heard of these until someone at the gun range suggested them to us.

Anyone have any stats on the ballistics of these rounds compared to standard ones?

Here is some data that I found:

You will lose some down range energy but they still look more powerful than the .243 out to 200 yards. The bullets went through both the deer my son shot so I was not able to recover a slug to see the expansion. I also read these are really designed to work at ranges inside 200 yards.
