Rifle Scope on Muzzleloader?

I’ve got a 50 caliber CVA Kodiak. I hunt in a shotgun zone in Minnesota and want to put a scope on the muzzeloader and use it. I have a rifle scope I don’t use. It’s a Burris Fullfield 3×9. Will this work on the muzzleloader or will I wreck it by putting it on the gun?

I also have a scope on my shotgun I could use on the muzzleloader that I know will work for sure but I want to keep that on my shotgun. I don’t want to buy another scope for the muzzleloader unless I have to.

I see no reason why your Burris scope would not work on your muzzleloader. the recoil on a muzzleloader should not be any harder than most high power rifles. Given the quality of Burris I don’t think you will have a issue.

I have the same scope on my smoke pole except mine has the ballistic plex, and I have not had any issues and I have run many rounds through my gun.

Thanks for the input. I think I am going to order a set of quick detach scope rings and try it out.
