I am looking for a shotgun for my wife. She has used a Remington 870 youth 20 gauge before and did very well with it. She can easily handle a 12 gauge, but the stock on mine is too long for her. I would like to find a pump action 12 gauge with a shorter stock.

I would buy her a 20 gauge if that’s all I can find, but 12 would be preferable that way we don’t have to worry about grabbing the wrong ammo by accident.

There was another post around here with the same issue, but find a gun she likes and have the stock cut down to fit her by a gunsmith. This process is very common.

Full size stocks are made to fit the majority of buyers in the market and unfortunately smaller framed persons are the minority and need to be modified.
