An almost new gun,…this only happens when its cold. Safety seems to work,…trigger just won’t pull. I’ve cleaned and relubed everything. If I recock it,…it seems to help. Once it works,…it’ll keep working even if still cold.

I’ve been putting the receiver in the freezer and trying it when cold during football games. While intersting so see how the mechanism works,…I’m not making progress.

I called a gun smith,…he said it could be one of 3 things but wouldn’t give me any advice,…just to bring it in.

Anybody know what this could be?

Only when it’s cold…the factory grease/runt preventative is freezing. Even though you “cleaned” it, hate to say this but, probably not good enough.

I’d break it down as far as you can get it, use a solvent made for fire arms. spray the pizz out of the mechanism. Work the firng pin(s) when it’s saturated with solvent. Keep working it and spraying in all the nooks and crannies. Once the solvent has evaporated away…repeat the process, when done put a LIGHT coat of oil on it.

I’ve had the same problem on a few guns…it was always the factory grease/rust preventative causing the problems, a good thorough cleaning took care of it.

    Good luck
